Sunnyvale, CA (PressExposure) March 25, 2010 -- Trimega Laboratories was the runner-up in the SOCAP Award for Innovation at the National Customer Service Awards 2009, held in December.
Trimega was judged on how it uses Hair Alcohol Testing in child protection cases to convict accused child molesters. The court system has strict deadlines to keep when dealing with child abuse case, wanting to remove the children at risk from her dangerous environment as quickly as possible. Trimega's drug testing technology has made that possible.
The National Customer Service Awards program was launched in 1999 to promote excellence, best practice and innovation in customer service. The Awards recognize the most important customer service activities and are open to entries from a broad spectrum of organizations, from the private and public sector.
Don Hales, Chairman of the Judges, commented: "Trimega are involved in the sensitive area of testing hair for traces of alcohol and drugs. Most of their cases, directly or indirectly, involve children and they work closely with child protection services. Their services are extremely accurate and speed up the process during which children's lives are virtually on hold. They always meet stringent legal requirements and customer satisfaction stands at 95%."
In 2008 Trimega Laboratories won the title of Best Use of Technology in the Barclays-sponsored Startups Awards, was a regional winner in the HSBC Start-up Stars. The company has also been a finalist in the 2009 Fast Growth Business Awards, and been on the shortlist for the National Business Awards two years running.
