Moscow, Russia (PressExposure) October 02, 2013 -- TrueConf has announced that the new 4.1 release of the TrueConf Server platform for unified communications supports browser-based videoconference broadcasting using WebRTC technology. TrueConf is to be the first in the world to provide such a unique solution in the form of a finished, enterprise-ready product.
The new version of the video conferencing software TrueConf Server 4.1 has added support for client applications running on the WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communications) standard. This technology allows you to play audio and video content in Internet browsers as well as capture video from your webcam and microphone without the need to install and use any additional extensions or plugins. Thus, with the help of WebRTC technology, a web browser can be used as a fully-functional client application for videoconferencing purposes. Now, TrueConf customers can easily organize their own corporate real-time video broadcasting server for distance education or virtual meetings broadcasting, for example. http://trueconf.com/
Participation in WebRTC-based videoconference broadcasts through TrueConf Server is available on any operating system, including mobile platforms, and thanks to the support of scalable video coding (SVC), users receive video and audio according to the capabilities of their particular communication channel and end device that are of an excellent quality without any delays and in real time.
Connecting to the broadcast can be accessed from any web browser supporting WebRTC, for example on OS Linux or from a smartphone running Android. At the moment, the solution is compatible with all browsers based on the Chromium engine (Chrome, Opera, Yandex.Browser, etc.). The support of browsers such as Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer, as well as the ability to capture and distribute users' video and sound from the browser back to the videoconference is planned to be implemented in the next version of the product.
'Our mission is to provide users with the highest quality videoconferencing. Therefore, in our products, we use the most effective and advanced communication technology available in the world today. The fact that we have supported the WebRTC standard in our solutions within just two months after its official release is the best proof of this - said Michael Gotalsky, TrueConf CEO. - We were the first to implement this technology in the form of a finished, enterprise-ready product for corporate videoconferencing that works within private networks.'
Among other innovations in TrueConf Server 4.1, the ability to automatically record group videoconferences on the server, not only from client applications, increased speed of the server's managing web application, as announced in version 4.0, when working with lists of users and scheduled conferences, the addition of advanced settings to manage custom URL links are noteworthy. This version also includes Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, and Czech localization.
