Scottsdale, AZ (PressExposure) June 02, 2007 -- Dr. Cori Bussolari licensed psychologist and Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco will join Drs. Gloria and Heidi Horsley on their nationally syndicated talk radio program "Healing the Grieving Heart" June 14th, 9 AM PST/12 noon EST.
Dr. Bussolari has a private practice and specializes in terminal illness and bereavement. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at USF, and teaches graduate courses in a variety of clinical areas. Her professional practice has been focused on individuals coping with highly challenging life circumstances. Dr. Bussolari's professional focus stems in part from the loss of her own parents during adolescence. Her losses have strengthened her desire to support others through the most stressful times of their lives.
Dr. Heidi Horsley is herself a bereaved sibling whose 17 year old brother, Scott died in an automobile accident when she was 20 years old. Currently she is an adjunct professor at Columbia University School of Social Work, teaching several courses including Grief, Loss, and Bereavement.
"One of the biggest challenges we address in both private counseling and with listeners on our radio show is how to heal after a profound loss. It's really inspiring to hear stories of resilience and hope despite great adversity. We're very excited to have Dr. Bussolari as a guest and look forward to her enlightening us and our listeners on life after loss."
