Austin, TX (PressExposure) June 21, 2011 -- Tabernus, leader in data erasure solutions, announced today that the Communications-Electronics Security Group (CESG) which is part of the UK Government Communications Headquarters, has certified the latest version of Tabernus' data erasure software, Enterprise Erase v5.4.
Certification is awarded when software has met all of the criteria for secure erasure of magnetic media in accordance with HMG Infosec standards. After independent testing carried out by QinetiQ, a British global defence technology company under contract to CESG, the latest version of Tabernus has been formally certified for government use to securely erase protectively marked data and added to the CESG Directory [http://www.cesg.gov.uk/find_a/cert_products/index.cfm?menuSelected=1&displayPage=18] of Infosec Assured Products.
"Our certification with the CESG is a welcome independent confirmation of what we set out to do and validating our commitment to delivering outstanding data erasure solutions. The CESG agency has one of the most rigorous examinations of data erasure software in the world and so certification indicates a product of the highest standards," said Khalid Elibiary, Tabernus' President.
"With CESG approval Tabernus' value proposition is ready to be introduced into European and other global markets looking for a complete data erasure solution that is accurate, easy to use and easy for teams to deploy."
