It supports more than 6000 devices (2000 more devices than its predecessor) to meet different needs for device programming or IC testing. This universal programmer automatically identifies the manufacturer and type of an EPROM or a TTL/CMOS logic IC. It is capable of handling many different devices such as Programmable Read-Only Memories (PROMs), Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs), flash microcontrollers, or serial and parallel memories.
This portable universal programmer, model VP280, features a high programming speed, a test vector capability, a multi-array fuse map editor, and device insertion and poor-pin-contact check. It supports Windows2000/NT/9X/ME/XP and most compliers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, OrCAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA. This compact universal programmer includes a 48-pin ZIF socket and supports 8-pin to 48-pin DIP package devices. It is capable of interfacing with any laptop, PC, PS/2 or its compatibles through a USB port.
