Leicester, United Kingdom (PressExposure) September 11, 2009 -- movemanSKG has supplied a Titan goods lift to Bristol University's acclaimed Department of Anatomy, which offers medical, veterinary and science courses to students, and conducts pioneering morphological research. The lift moves clinical waste, and human bodies between a newly built cold store and the Anatomy dissection theatre.
Osmosis Consultants, a leading Chartered Surveyors and project management company based in Cheltenham, specified the lift. John Harrington, Managing Director, explains: "The brief was to move bodies and clinical waste between levels in an ethical and clean manner. movemanSKG's Titan meets our requirements and performs reliably despite rigorous use."
At Bristol University, Titan replaces a previous lift and resides in a 100mm deep pit to sit flush with the floor. It features an extended 1200mm x 2100mm platform, which is big enough to accommodate wheeled disposal bins or body trolleys plus an attendant. The lift travels four metres between the two floors and incorporates through entry for quick, easy access.
John continued; "movemanSKG installed Titan within the agreed timeframe and provided a professional, dedicated service. The lift is user-friendly, clean, and efficient, and transports its delicate payloads safely and securely. I have an excellent working relationship with movemanSKG and would not hesitate to recommend the company and its products to others with lifting needs."
movemanSKG's Titan lifts 1000kg up to thirteen metres and features a heavy-duty steel enclosure, which provides strength and stability. It is available with single, double, powered or fire rated doors, which lock automatically for safety when the platform is in motion.
Titan is flexible and suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. It comes with a twelve month guarantee and two inclusive service visits in the first year of ownership.
