Urban League Honors Community Champions

Charlotte, NC (PressExposure) March 03, 2014 -- The 2014 Urban League Annual Whitney M. Young Jr. Awards Gala is one of the premiere fundraising events in Charlotte and surrounding region. This black tie event will honor three community champions who have made a commitment to the development of diversity in both workforce and philanthropy. Their efforts have made a positive impact and helped create new opportunities for under-served and underemployed individuals. Hosted by WCCB-Charlotte anchor Audrina Bigos, the 2014 Whitney M. Young Jr. Awards Gala will commence on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the Sheraton Uptown Charlotte Hotel.

This year, the Urban League of Central Carolinas is pleased to announce the following Whitney M. Young Jr. Award Recipients; Debra Plousha Moore, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer- Carolinas Healthcare System; Charles Bowman, Charlotte and North Carolina Market President-Bank of America; and Geoff Durboraw, Vice-President and General Manager- Enterprise Holdings, Inc.
