St. Petersburg, FL (PressExposure) April 27, 2009 -- JT Abney, writer and small business owner is pleased to announce that he has launched a website reviewing the increasingly popular Electronic Cigarettes and several of their distributors.
"ElectronicCigaretteReivews.org outlines several of the most reputable distributors of e-cigarettes and gives a great overview of some of their starter kits, making it a bit easier on the novice who is looking to make the switch from tobacco cigarettes", says Abney.
The Electronic Cigarette was originally developed in China and was designed to take the place of smoking tobacco cigarettes and cigars because, despite global smoking bans, many smokers just find it too difficult to quit altogether. There are numerous nicotine replacement products on the market, such as gum and patches, but these in no way replicate the smoking experience which has been proven to be a part of the addictive ritual of smoking. The e-cigarette is revolutionary in that it''s aim is to both deliver nicotine to user and simulate the experience of smoking a traditional tobacco cigarette.
The electronic cigarette, or e-cig, in most cases looks just like a traditional cigarette and is made of a mouthpiece that holds a nicotine cartridge, a heating element or atomizer, a battery and an LED at the tip of the device. The vapor that is exhaled may look like smoke but it is actually just a water, propylene glycol based vapor that is odorless and harmless. The cartridges are also available with different levels of nicotine in them should you desire to lower your intake or even cut it out altogether.
Having been a smoker for years, Abney talks about the barriers that the e-cigarette has lifted for him. "It''s just amazing, really. You are able to smoke e-cigarettes virtually anywhere so are not subject to the ''smoking bans'' and there are tremendous cost savings by switching to electronic cigarettes. This is just something that I felt I had to share." Electronic cigarettes are gaining increasing media attention by the day and there is some controversy as to their safety and legality. While they are not illegal to sell in the U.S., Canada, or Europe, they cannot be marketed as "Smoking Cessation" devices. It would be difficult to argue that there are not some health benefits to making the switch however. Abney has also set up a blog on his website to address those issues and to keep e-cigarette enthusiasts up to date on the latest news and reviews.
