This year's volunteer celebration will take place at Trinity Park on April 2, 2011 at noon after all volunteers have cleaned up their designated areas. Volunteers can choose to meet at these three designated trash pick-up sites:
Marine Creek Ranch, 5403 Paloma Blanca

Lake Arlington at Eugene McCray Park, 3449 Quail Rd.
Clean up will start at 9 AM and go till noon at three sites. Cleanup volunteers can also choose to form their own groups and meet at a designated site within the district during those times. Everyone will be invited to join the party at Trinity Park afterward.
Commercial Recycling and Beautification Coordinator Debbie Branch said having a hometown band that believes in environmental stability is important to the local community at this year's event:
"When I discovered that Vocal Trash cared about taking care of the environment and had instruments made from recycled material in addition to putting on a fabulous show - I knew they were the troupe we wanted to entertain us at the volunteer celebration."
Branch said to break last year's record of 4,700 participants they are holding a Twitter contest to see who can tweet the event. Volunteers can spread the word by tweeting with the hash tag #CowtownCleanup.
"Everyone who sends that text will be entered into a drawing-- we'll pick the winners at the celebration," Branch said. Prizes will range from passes to the Japanese Garden, or Log Cabin Village, to free rounds of golf or restaurant dinners.
Online registration for the Cowtown Cleanup will continue until Friday, but walk-up registration will be accepted during the supply pickup at Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods the day before the main event.
