San Jose, CA (PressExposure) March 22, 2012 -- Monique DeMoulin, the independent recording artist, performer and songwriter, is proud to announce her newest single release, "It Wasn't Me," available on iTunes. This quickly growing hit is an original and previously unrecorded song by the incomparable Jim Weatherly. The single was produced by Grammy award winning producer, Bill Hare.
Monique has an especially deep affection for her newest release. She said, "One of the most memorable days of my career was when Jim [Weatherly] contacted me after hearing my release of his song, 'You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me.' His kindness and support meant a great deal to me. Imagine recording a song that has a deep meaning to you, and then having the creator of that classic masterpiece call you and say he loved how you treated his work! And it got better when he offered me one of his unreleased songs for my next single! When I heard, 'It Wasn't Me,' I fell in love with it, the depth of the message touched me. And I put all of the journey of my career, and my life's feelings, into it! I recently heard from Jim again, this time to congratulate me on the new release, and give it a big stamp of approval. How does it get any better than that?"
Monique's career spans 30 years as a recording artist and songwriter. She recently formed The Monique DeMoulin Band and they are thrilling Bay area clubs with current pop tunes and her own original songs, all delivered with the distinctive "Monique spin." She has returned to the recording studio, and is currently working on three exciting projects: writing original songs with San Francisco producer, Nancy McGinnis; arranging and recording with singer/songwriter Lorenzo Soto; and lending her voice to producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Catherine Delgadillo of Scotts Valley on her personal project.
