Moscow, Russia (PressExposure) August 01, 2015 -- The development of quick digital photography made taking pictures easy and fun. Users don´t have to learn the art of taking pictures; they just take shots they want. Not all of those shots are ideal, though. Power lines, garbage, accidental bypassers - things that can spoil a good photo are countless.
WebInpaint is an online version of the acclaimed photo retouching tool by TeoreX, Inpaint. Like its desktop predecessor, WebInpaint aims to make clearing photos from unnecessary spoiling objects as easy as possible. A user drags a photo to the browser window with the mouse, and marks those areas on the picture he or she doesn´t need with a special marker. Once done, the user clicks the Process button and the tool effectively replaces unwanted objects with the background constructed from surrounding pixels. The process is intuitive and simple and doesn´t require any knowledge except very basic image editing.
At the same time, algorithms underlying WebInpaint´s efficiency are quite advanced. The surroundings of the marked area are thoroughly analyzed for textures, colors and patterns and are carefully rebuilt in place of the removed object. The result? Accurately removed objects and finely restored background. The user then can save the fixed image under a new filename, or switch to the next photo in his library. The tool supports JPG and PNG images up to 2Mb, which is sufficient for most of home uses.
