What Is The Grass Roots Tea Party Movement?

Port Vila, Vanuatu (PressExposure) April 22, 2010 -- Are the Tea Party (TP) meetings actually just Mad Hatter tea parties, after the style of the Alice of Wonderland classic? Or is it just another political party?

The Tea Party issue made a pit stop in Boston Massachusetts, which was just reported on the Broad Humour (women and comedy) website.

The home grown political movement has had both good and bad publicity thrown at it, ever since its inauguration twelve months ago.

It was observed that TP followers must find it necessary to spend the major part of their social security cheques on poster board, markers and glue for creating homemade signs, which seem to play a major role in the TP experience.

The general opinion appears to be a dislike of President Obama, as the core members happily design money-making buttons t-shirts, stickers and other memorabilia bearing mindless slogans.

Home-grown artists provide music and entertainment, which is a major attraction of any TP gathering.

Prominent iHand note-taker, Sarah Palin, former Governor of Alaska, has become the figurehead of the TP organization, appearing at several rallies like the one in Boston.

Some even quote Palin is being the pride of the party and that she represents the main values of the group. However, it is difficult to ascertain just what those core values actually are.

The concept of Palin is one of a working mom, a straight shooter and an average Jane. However, as a former public servant, with lots of television shows, a best-selling book and wealthy in her own right, Palin is barely your everyday Jane.

It does appear though that Palin connects with the public and speaks the kind of things the TPs wish to hear.

"We can't spend our way out of these problems." "Small businesses." "Drill baby drill!" "Small businesses." "Limited government!" "Lame stream media" "Small businesses."

The Boston TP event was peaceful, where people congregated together to enjoy a beautiful spring day in New England, while listening to stories of the terrible oppressive, corrupt American government. They were also issued with warnings about the apocalypse that is upon the American people who are soon to be denied their guns, pills and cable TV. People who like to wave lovely home-made signs and relate to small businesses.

Is the TP organization just a passing trend, or a serious political party which is here to stay?
