Ramsbottom, Lancashire United Kingdom (PressExposure) August 23, 2011 -- Only two years ago the outdoor specialist Whites opened its doors for business in Ramsbottom, Lancashire offering outdoor clothing for men, women and children and technical apparel required for enjoying the great outdoors. Whites have gone from strength to strength and have now opened a second store in Hebden Bridge, Calderdale. It offers the same range of brands as the store in Ramsbottom such as Sprayway and Berghaus all-weather clothing, and Merrell outdoor footwear.
At a time when talk of recession and cutbacks in the UK is rife, Whites is however looking forward to expanding further. Whites is owned by Lee White, an outdoors enthusiast himself with valuable knowledge and expertise that he enjoys passing on to his customers. The new store in Hebden Bridge will be managed by Amy Plimley. Amy is local to the area and this knowledge of the local area will mean she will be able to serve local customers needs and help visitors to the area with their enquiries.
Hebden Bridge seems a good choice for the new store as it is a great centre for outdoor activities including walking, cycling and hiking with many walks and trails. Hebden Bridge also lies on the Pennine Way National Trail and takes in some lovely valley and hill views with varied landscapes including steep and winding stone paths and tracks. There are also many campsites in this area rich in nature and history - on the border between Lancashire and Yorkshire, this area was the heart of the War of the Roses in the sixteenth century.
Whites owner Lee White expresses his motivation and excitement for the expansion: "Hebden Bridge is a great base for walking and outdoor pursuits such as cycling and we are excited to be part of the local community."
Whites in Ramsbottom is also famous for its popular in-store pet - a micro pig called Patrick. Lee of Whites will be bringing Patrick for visits in the store in Hebden Bridge to ensure that the shop is being run to Patrick's high standards!
The new outdoor clothing [http://www.whitesoutdoors.co.uk/] and equipment store is now open for business and is located in the picturesque Market Street of Hebden Bridge in Calderdale, West Yorkshire.
