Edmonton, Canada (PressExposure) December 08, 2008 -- One local company is going to great lengths to share the Christmas spirit this year. Wild Rose Vacations, a locally owned and operated member based travel club is planning a different act of charity for each of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
âItâs not just because our company has had a great yearâ, says Lance Gore one of the companyâs managers. âWe asked for suggestions from the employees regarding which charities to support this year. They just came up with so many great ideas that we decided to choose twelve and keep in theme with the famous Christmas song.â
The acts of kindness already planned cover an amazingly wide range of less fortunate individuals. Their plan is specially arranged to host different charitable events each night for twelve nights in a row and celebrate the twelve days of Christmas by helping those less fortunate than themselves. Included in the first few nights of their promotion are a sleeping bag give away to the homeless, sweater and coat donations, collections of non perishable food item for the city food bank and gift of bus passes to women and kids in shelters. âOf course, the new toy drive is also a big part of our focus this year as we have teamed up with Santas Anonymous from the CHED radio station in their effort to collect new toys for under privileged kidsâ says Gore.
According to Gore, all visitors coming to their offices throughout November and December are being asked to bring a piece of warm clothing, a new toy or non perishable food items and the response has been overwhelming. Gore says. âThe response from people of all levels shows what great cities Edmonton and Calgary really are. Canadian generosity really is the Best in the World!â Anybody interested in making a donation of non perishable food toys, or articles of clothing is asked to bring it to their Edmonton office which is located at Wild Rose Vacations, 10582 - 116St NW, Edmonton, Alberta
