All runners who register for competitive timing in a Grand-Prix race earn points. There are no additional fees or sign-up necessary to be part of the Grand-Prix competition. To be in contention for fall Grand-Prix awards, runners must complete at least six races in the fall series. Points are earned for every race participated in, regardless of finishing time. Only the six highest scores out of the possible eight are counted toward awards standings. Registration for each race is handled individually and can be made through Sport Often (www.sportoften.com), at advanced registration locations provided by each race or on race day. Most races offer discounts and other incentives for early registration.
