Los Angeles, CA (PressExposure) May 06, 2011 -- Barbara Lazaroff, a highly regarded Los Angeles restaurateur, philanthropist, and interior designer among many other things, recently discussed her new book, which she co-authored with good friend Tricia LaVoice, Wishes for a Mother's Heart, on the Authors Spotlight station on Big Media USA, an Internet broadcasting company, with Big Media USA CEO & Chairman Tony DeMaio. Tony DeMaio regularly interviews contemporary authors on the Authors Spotlight station about their most recent and previous works. Ms. Lazaroff spoke about her various life experiences, friendships, and charitable experiences that led her to her collaboration on the book. Wishes For A Mother's Heart is an elegant collection of poetic well-wishes, original reflections, and pragmatic suggestions for a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Ms. Lazaroff, A.S.I.D., is a restaurateur and interior designer who is renowned for her innovative and highly creative restaurant concepts. In her position as President of Imaginings Interior Designs, Inc., Ms. Lazaroff has designed numerous popular restaurants such as: the original Spago, Hollywood; Spago, Beverly Hills; Chinois on Main; Chinois Las Vegas; Eureka; and Granita, among other acclaimed eating establishments.
Ms. Lazaroff has been recognized with many awards for her original designs and concepts. Her work has been featured in Designer's West, Restaurant Hospitality, Elle Décor, the Canadian television program "Women on Top," Fortune, and "CNN." In 1991 she received the Restaurant/Hotel Design Magazine's Platinum Circle Award, and in 2000 was inducted into the National Association of Women Business Owners Millennium Hall of Fame for her business ingenuity. Presently she continues her work in the restaurant industry as a co-brander and partner in the "Wolfgang Puck" business entities.
Ms. Lazaroff is also an avid supporter of the Meals on Wheels Program, which for over the last 30 years with her help, has raised millions of dollars for those in need in the Los Angeles area. For well over two decades, she has additionally generously supported the American Cancer Society through the California Spirit events, and Mazon's hunger relief program with 25 years of Passover Seder fundraisers at Spago restaurant.
Most poignant of her many charitable honors are the James Beard Humanitarian Award and the Aviva Family and Children's Services Spirit of Compassion Award. Ms. Lazaroff serves on the Board of Directors of The Friends of Sheba Medical Center, Israel's leading hospital; the largest and most comprehensive medical center in the Middle East.
