Evesham, United Kingdom (PressExposure) February 10, 2012 -- Although the orders have grown steadily over the past few years, Toolbox couldn't have expected the current strain they're being put under. With several hundred orders a day coming in from customers who want the latest and greatest tools, Toolbox employees have fled to the warehouse to ensure everything continues to run smooth and customers receive the top quality service they are used to.
With customers taking up a lot of Christmas & winter deals on the website the warehouse staff will be picking and packing anything from cordless power tools to spanners & wrenches. However, the majority of these deals will be running for at least another month, so how long the increased amount of orders will continue is anyone's guess. One thing's for sure and that is the fact that the Toolbox staff won't let any customer be disappointed or without their order this Christmas as one manager explains.
Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager, currently buzzing around in the warehouse as this is being typed, said: "The increment in orders has been massive and although we have extremely capable warehouse staff, the sheer volume is too much for them. It's essentially an 'all hands on deck' situation and virtually anyone who can has been called into the warehouse to ensure everything remains on time and no customers end up disappointed. The last thing we want is to hear from a dissatisfied customer informing us that the item they ordered to be a Christmas present hasn't turned up; therefore we're going all out in the run up to Christmas to minimize the chance of this ever happening."
Fighting words there from Scott and it should make us all feel quite relieved to be sat at our desks with lovely heating, rather than running around in a freezing cold warehouse. However, if you are still sat at your desks, take a look round the Toolbox website and check out the deals that seem to be putting them on the back foot; they've got to be pretty good if they've forced directors into the warehouse. James Cook, Web Admin at Toolbox tried to summarise the increase in orders: "With a variety of promotions we've put on the site lately, customers have been flocking to buy some of our latest additions and sale items before Christmas.
One group and offer in particular is on winter essentials and this has also been a big seller, people seem to be expecting and preparing for a harsh winter." He added; "It seems that Car battery chargers are one of the most popular items; statistics show that battery problems increase in November then peak in December & January. People who have been affected by this problem last winter probably bought one a charger to prevent the same happening this year; you also won't annoy your bosses with being late this way and still get a nice Christmas bonus, result!"
