World-Leading Alcohol Abuse Lab Status For Trimega

London, United Kingdom United Kingdom (PressExposure) April 10, 2010 -- Trimega Laboratories has become one of the world's few companies to be recommended for ISO 17025 accreditation for hair drug testing analysis based on fatty acid ethyl ester (FAEE) testing. The auditor recommendation was a direct result a successful audit as Trimega subsidiary Trimega Drogencheck GmBH.

Having been largely responsible for the global commercialision of Hair Alcohol Testing in 2007, the accreditation reaffirms Trimega Laboratories' status as the dominant player in the alcohol abuse testing market. It also means that Trimega Laboratories is the only laboratory offering the 'Ultimate Standard' of Hair Alcohol Analysis by combining FAEE testing with a further ISO accredited method known as EtG (ethyl glucuronide) testing.

Avi Lasarow, managing director of Trimega Laboratories, commented: "There are only a few other laboratories worldwide which are capable of testing a hair sample on FAEE to prove alcohol abuse. With this qualification our laboratory belongs to an illustrious circle."

Dr Silke Süsse, laboratory director of Trimega Laboratories, added: "Upon receipt of the final certificate, we will be able to offer all parts of a combined EtG and FAEE hair analysis with ISO accreditation.

The combined method gives clear evidence if a person has been abusing alcohol or not within a period of up to 6 months. Through this combined method the results are of a much higher significance in comparison to only one used method. The combination is safe against false positive and negative diagnosis as far as possible."
