Altamonte Springs, FL (PressExposure) August 26, 2009 -- WriteLines is now offering creative writing workshops via webcam.
"It was the natural next step," says Dale Slongwhite, Founder/Director of WriteLines. "People are busy. They don't have time to travel to join a writing group. Many people don't have a writing group in their area or they are not satisfied with the one they have found."
Yet, writing groups offer support to writers who spend most of their time alone when engaged in their craft. Writers need readers, particularly readers who will support them. Many online writing groups are large and impersonal. WriteLines' groups will be limited to three writers, and the webcam will add the element of familiarity.
"We offer 'gentle' critique,'" says Slongwhite. "We come to the group believing the writer has produced good work. It is our job to help him bring it to the next level."
Groups are open to writers of all genres and skill levels and will be offered a variety of times.
