Write a Children's Book this Summer with Suzanne Lieurance - June 11-24, 2012
Your heart soars and your mind swirls with the dream of writing a children's book and then you find yourself filled with hesitation because you don't know where to start. Throw away your negative thoughts and join in the 14-day information and direction filled children's book writing course with the Working Writer's Coach and children's author, Suzanne Lieurance.
Commitment is necessary and following the workshop schedule for the entire 14 days is critical in writing your book. For each day of the workshop, students don't need to be anywhere specific at any specific time of the day. You'll just need to be available to download the lesson via email, listen to a short audio, and do the assignment for the day.
Accountability and communication is essential to your success. Students will not be on their own; a live group call every day during the 14 days to discuss any challenges, questions, or concerns you might have about the day's assignment is part of the program. Plus, there will be daily check-points you must complete to make sure you're staying on schedule.
And that's not all; Ms. Lieurance will also provide a professional critique of your manuscript once the "proofing and editing" stage of the workshop begins. Critique is imperative to insure that a manuscript is "marketable" and to determine whether or not additional rewriting is required before submitting to a publisher.
About the instructor: Suzanne Lieurance is a children's writer with (at last count) 23 published books for children. She was also an instructor with the Institute of Children's Literature (located in West Redding, Connecticut) for over 8 years. As The Working Writer's Coach, Lieurance helps people who love to write become "working" freelance writers and make a living doing what they love to do best.
