Norcross, GA (PressExposure) January 06, 2010 -- In light of recent events that caused the recall of Tylenol Arthritis Pain Caplets 100 Count bottles due to mold growth on wood pallets which caused a musty odor, XM Industries wishes to clarify that none of the company's formulas contain the fungicide 2,4,6-tribromoanisole.
"We have set the bar very high within the industry and want to assure anyone who is using any X-Mold products that 2,4,6-tribromoanisole is not used in our formulas," said XM Industries President, Ron Jones.
"Apparently, some chemical companies are using 2,4,6-tribromoanisole in their fungicidal products," Jones continued. "However, the problem with this fungicide is that it is not as effective as the blend of preservatives we use in E-Fusion(TM) or any of our other brands."
XM Industries is a chemical manufacturer based in Norcross, GA. Since 1997 the privately held company has specialized in developing mold resistant coatings. Recently, the E-Fusion(TM) brand by X-Mold has been gaining market share within the wood pallet industry as more companies become aware of its proven ability to prevent mold growth on the coated surface of wood pallets.
