Chicago, IL (PressExposure) June 23, 2009 -- crowdSPRING, an online marketplace for creative services, won a Stevie Award for New Product or Service of the Year - Services in The 2009 American Business Awards last night.
The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.
In winning the Stevie, crowdSPRING beat out other finalists including E*TRADE Financial, AchieveGlobal and LifeLock. In accepting the Stevie, Ross Kimbarovsky and Mike Samson said, âIn our short year of existence, we are extremely humbled to receive the distinguished accolade of Service of the Year. Our team has dedicated a lot of time and passion to our service and weâre thrilled itâs being met with such positive recognition."
Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.
crowdSPRING, an online marketplace for creative services, has received quite a bit of recognition in its first year of operation from winning the Wired Small Business Contest in the beginning of the year, to winning the cityLIGHTS Newcomer Award from the Illinois Technology Association. âWhen launching our service a year ago, we wanted to fill a need for small businesses wanting unique and affordable creative services,â said Ross Kimbarovsky. âItâs an added bonus to have our hard work recognized and to be in the company of these other distinguished nominees.â
More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners.
