$24 Million in Improvements Has Guests of the Eden Resort & Suites Feeling Spoiled in Lancaster Pennsylvania

Lancaster, PA (PressExposure) January 01, 2009 -- The Eden Resort & Suites located in Lancaster Pennsylvania has recently completed an aggressive renovation of the entire hotel. According to Stephen Sikking, Managing Partner-Sales and Marketing, “This is by far the largest and most impressive hotel improvement plan I have ever been involved with in my 25 years of operating hotels.”

The renovations began several years ago and were completed this February. The hotel remained open during the renovation process but many sections of the hotel were off limits to guests.

Some of the most notable improvements include the addition of 92- two room luxury suites, the complete refurbishment of the hotels 40 residential style suites; complete remodeling of the entrance and lobby including the registration desk and Arthur’s Terrace restaurant, as well as all banquet space.

All 280 guest rooms have been upgrade and include items such as flat panel 32” and/or 42” TV’s, hi-speed wired and wireless internet, refrigerators and microwaves. Upgraded bedding was added to all guest rooms as well as granite counters and sinks throughout. Many of the hotels king rooms have fully tiled glass enclosed showers with dual shower heads, and some rooms have real wood burning fireplaces and whirlpool baths.

In addition to the guest room improvements the hotels public space has also be renovated beginning with all private banquet rooms and ending this past February with the hotels largest event space, a 10,000 square foot atrium style room called the Courtyard.

According to Mark Clossey, the hotel’s General Manager, “Guests walk through the hotels main entrance and just stand there in awe of the changes to the property. Most recently I overheard one of our motor coach guests talking with their friend say, “Can you believe how nice this is? I’m feeling spoiled already and I haven’t even seen our guest room yet.”

A few other notable improvements are the addition of a 24 hour business/ computer center, a sundries shop called the Eden Market and several walk up internet kiosks located in a variety of locations throughout the hotel.
