2009 NBA Betting Picks and Odds - Orlando vs Cleveland

Aneheim, Canada (PressExposure) May 22, 2009 -- All those who bet the Orlando Magic on the moneyline in Game 1 vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers, put your hand up...liars.....

Actually, there were some Orlando moneyline bettors, as I found out in talking with online sportsbook SPORTSBETTING.com. They reported that there was Magic moneyline action, but of course, it was dwarfed by the Cleveland moneyline volume.

In terms of those NBA betting enthusiasts who played the pointspread, it was quite a bit more even, but the sports betting public still came down firmly on the side of the Cavaliers. SPORTSBETTING.com said they had almost 70% of their large player base favoring Cleveland and Lebron James.

After the final whistle, Orlando was celebrating and the Cavs were trying to figure out how they allowed a 15-point half-time lead slip away and end up with a 1-point loss. If you've been involved in NBA betting and tracking the NBA odds, you know that the Cavaliers were 8-0 so far in the playoffs, but it all came crashing down.

However, that win over the Cavaliers wasn't anything new for Orlando. The Magic have won five of the last six games vs. the Cavs. For sports betting purposes playing against the spread, Orlando is sporting a record of 11-1 ATS in their last 12.

NBA Odds In Game 2, online sportsbooks have the line set at Cleveland -9.5. Obviously the oddsmakers are expecting the sports betting public to like the Cavs chances of bouncing back with a big win.

Over/Under bettors have a line of 188.5 to bet in to. Game 1 sailed over the Total easily. I do expect it to be a lower scoring game than the first meeting, but that number is low enough that if one team gets hot, it means the other one having to open it up and catch up, which means bad news for Under betting.

It's important for Orlando not to be complacent and feel like they have accomplished what the needed to, and that's getting a split on the road. In this next battle they need to scrap like it's a must win game. Sports bettors remember, the Magic grabbed the first game in Boston in that series, then followed that performance up with a dud and lost. You need to wonder if history will repeat itself.

It should be a great game. The sports betting action on the game has been building and it has also been building on the series odds as well. You can bet this game today at SPORTSBETTING.com one of the top online sportsbooks in the world. Check the NBA odds

I'm going to lay the big points and play on the Cleveland Cavaliers to win and cover.

Good luck.
