Together, they have set in motion a unique musical crusade which has been christened as 'Aircel Free the Music' campaign. 6 independent bands from across the country will be battling it out on this unique platform. The contestants of this event are Badnaam, Chinmayi, Joel, NEB (North East Breeze), Pratigya and Tungztn. Music fans can help their favourite band in the struggle to free their music by sharing the music on various popular social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
A Songdew representative quoted that, "We have taken this initiative to promote independent and upcoming artists. This musical talent pool has some of the best compositions that must reach out to the masses. The artists from 6 bands will see a global release of their latest albums globally. Aircel is the official sponsor of the event and will be supported by Radio City Freedom, 9XO, YUPPTV, GTPL, Flipkart.com, BRIGHT, radio79, Parikrama.inc, Comfort Inn and DIGIVAAS. The campaign got off the ground with the first concert taking place in New Delhi at the Hard Rock CafÃ© on 24TH August 2013. Pratigya and NEB launched their individual albums 'Jiyaara' and 'Groove' respectively at these events.
