Huntington Beach, CA (PressExposure) March 31, 2014 -- The composer, producer and performer of electronic music known as Alexx Genesis has released his latest EP album, "Anghellic." The record is comprised of six original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 35 minutes. It has been proudly and independently released by Alexx Genesis without support of any major music corporation, and has been created as a true representation of music for music's sake. A radically creative collection of Alexx Genesis material from a wide variety of music genres, "Anghellic" stands as proof that artists can be capable of a great many styles when they aren't forced to record what music companies tell them to.
Alexx Genesis cites as main artistic influences such popular artists as Skrillex, Excision, and Flux Pavilion. His own work is not more of the same, however, and to imagine that "Anghellic" were a mere EDM record would be a grave mistake. "Anghellic" draws from many subgenres of electronic music, such as dubstep and house, with some elements of trance thrown in for good measure. Track 3, "Lightmare," is an electronic ballad graced with exquisite female vocals.
Perhaps most surprisingly is the following number, "Daymare," which the listener might describe as death metal, doom metal, or otherwise - the point being that this fantastically violent and aggressive song is offered here by Alexx Genesis because he clearly loves the sound, and because he knows exactly what a daymare ought to sound like.
Alexx Genesis is a man of few words. The bio featured on his official Facebook page describes him in three simple sentences: Alexx Genesis is "a Musician from Chicago, Illinois. No genre whatsoever. He doesn't make music for money, fame etc., he simply he makes music because it's his passion."
Alexx Genesis' musical passion is available online worldwide in the extended-play record, "Anghellic." Also don't miss his "Hellfire and Brimstone" single, due out on 20 April 2014.
