"Tanya Davis Art is busy creating phantasmagorical Steampunk artwork and sculpture." -- The Steampunk World's Fair

Davis is a multi-medium visual artist based in Austin, Texas specializing in figurines. Aside from her fully-sculpted pieces, she also applies her skills to vinyl platform art toys. Her debut on the art scene is marked by her 2013 showcase at DISCOVERY presented by RAWartists. Always exploring new art ideas, Davis creates both 2D and 3D works with her signature style. The Steampunk genre has always been of great interest to Tanya Davis, and is an endless source of inspiration. 2011 saw the launch of Austin Vintage Creations Etsy store (no longer active), which has since been replaced by her StorEnvy Store. Showcases of her Steampunk'd items have been done locally in Austin and in various other locations in Texas. She also had pieces in the 2013 DesignerCon in Pasadena, California. Davis is one to watch out for!

"Behold Tanya Davis' pair of Tesla-Punk Ducks, the cyborged waterfowl a slight tangent from her usual sculptures of clay and metal, the idea here being, the artist says, 'an electric duck powered wirelessly by Tesla's coil transformer.'" -- Wayne Alan Brenner, Arts Editor for The Austin Chronicle

Each figurine by Tanya Davis is shaped and detailed by hand. She uses acrylic paints and mica powder pigments to add color to her work. The pieces are finished with glaze that protects and enhances the figurine's detail. People sometimes request paintings or high-quality marker drawings based on the figurine characters she has created, and vice versa. Davis welcomes commission work.
