Barry Brown Nominated for 2008 Carolina Music Awards Country Male Singer of the Year

Nashville, TN (PressExposure) June 25, 2008 -- "It's an honor to be considered for the CMA Carolina Music Awards. I have a lot of people to thank including my family for their support, my band, and God for giving me the talent to reach this point in my career", said Barry Brown, singer/songwriter from South Carolina, when asked about his nomination.

This Nashville recording artist who along with his band is performing throughout the South at festivals, fairs and country music events, really has a rockin' country style.

Brown began his professional music career two years ago. He met former independent producer of the year, Robert Metzger at a music event in Orlando, FL. Metzger offered Brown a recording contract after hearing his four-song demo. The first recording was complete in the spring of 2007, and the first single climbed the charts to number 89. Barry's release "Headed Home" is a ground breaking debut featuring 12 tracks including that hit single, "300 Horses". "The best part of performing is when the fans really get into the music and dance and sing along. It is really cool to know that they know our songs and sing the words. That is what makes me the happiest when I perform," continues Brown. His favorite song to perform is one he co-wrote with his lead guitar player, Dickie Fredricks, titled "I'm Into That". This song will be included on the soon to be released CD that they are currently working on.
