New York, NY (PressExposure) May 20, 2009 -- Kate is a regular performer on the performance poetry club circuit and is well-respected for her writing. She has now decided to share her talents with a wider audience by writing to commission poems for wedding and civil partnerships as well as other celebratory occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. Kate will also write bespoke poetry of the sadder occasions in life such as funerals and memorial services. Operating under the banner of 'The Wedding Poet' Kate has carved out a wonderfully creative niche in bespoke poetry.
Kate has written and performed her own poetry for some time and has also written wedding poems for many friends over the years, but it was only when trying to find suitable wedding poems for her own big day, she realised just how difficult a task it was to find wedding poems which were really fitting. The current offerings of wedding poems tend to be very broadly romantic and Kate thought there was room for a service offering very personal wedding poems written to order in a uniquely professional way.
Using her experience as an established author and performance poet, The Wedding Poet is able to put her extensive talents to work writing wedding poems which are completely client led. Kate will initially gather as much information about her clients and their relationship as possible before even putting pen to paper. The Wedding Poet is able to build her wedding poems completely around the information her clients provide, thereby making them exceptionally personal and unique. In this way the Wedding Poet's wedding poems say exactly what her clients want them to say but written with a degree of professionalism that they would never have been able to achieve themselves.
Wedding poems and readings have become a much more flexible part of the marriage ceremony. Often now a bride will want to have part to play during the speeches and Kate has had several mums and mums-in-law keen to get in the act. With many of the old rules of order going out of the window wedding poems can now be read by any member of the wedding party who might care to have something to say. There is even the possibility of using wedding poems instead of the usual tired old wedding speeches.
