San Diego, CA (PressExposure) July 08, 2009 -- Many of San Diegoâs finest upscale boutiques, distinctive designers, spas and salons will offer deeply discounted merchandise and services to shoppers at le Marketâs inaugural Best Boutique & Bargain Bazaar on Friday, September 18 from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Attendees will have access to premium apparel for men, women and children, Yoga and workout wear, swimwear, accessories and luxurious spa products at a fraction of retail prices. Spas will also offer discounted and complimentary treatments, from eyebrow waxing to mini treatments. Partial proceeds will go to the YWCAâs Beckyâs House® program, an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence.
âWe launched this event to give consumers who feel the burden of the economy a pick-me-up and to support local businesses that are quietly struggling even more than large retailers,â said Sally Ray, a Carlsbad resident and principal of le Market, who has owned several boutiques and helped many others post record profits. âMany events that offer discounted merchandise feel more like a flea market, forcing customers to dig through large piles of unwanted clothing and apparel. The Best Boutique & Bargain Bazaar is different. I have hand-selected each vendor with the shopper in mind.â
The Best Boutique & Bargain Bazaar provides a solution for the cash-strapped shopper in need of sophisticated clothing for a job interview or new job and for the discriminate bargain shark wanting to update their wardrobe. Several spas will offer mini-treatments on the premises. Discounts on apparel range from 20 to 60 percent. Itâs not always easy to follow the âbuy localâ mantra in a recession, but the Best Boutique & Bargain Bazaar gives San Diegans an opportunity to do so, while walking away with beautiful, well-made clothing and accessories at a fraction of the cost.
âWeâre all struggling in some capacity, and we all need to do our part,â Ray said. âSuccess comes when we work together in support of the bigger picture.â
And, because a portion of the proceeds go to the YWCAâs Beckyâs House® program, attendees will be giving back in many ways.
"We are thankful to le Market for choosing the YWCA's Becky's House as their partner," said Heather Finlay, CEO, YWCA of San Diego County. "We depend on community partners to help us support the women and children of our Becky's House programs. A little goes a long way in making a difference in the lives of our families."
Tickets to the Best Boutique & Bargain Bazaar cost $8 for a one-day pass and $12 for a two-day pass. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets can only be purchased at the event. Shoppers who enter their details on le Marketâs website (www.mylemarket.com) will receive a complimentary bag of goodies from Crown Jewel, eLiveLife, Dr. Yco and others while supplies last. Some boutiques will only accept cash so, to aid shoppers, an ATM is located on the premises. For more information, visit [http://www.mylemarket.com] or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
