, Berlin Germany (PressExposure) July 22, 2008 -- Facebook & co were a raving success. Students love to chat, exchange views and meet other people. Everyday life without social networks is no longer imaginable. Studymee.com is a new network focused especially on students which goes beyond existing online communities. Along with the standard communication and entertainment features, Studymee provides real and valuable benefits to a studentâs life.
BERLIN. Studymee is a new portal that connects students worldwide. Unlike existing portals, Studymee works with a closed user group that caters to the needs of students.
With BetaBuzz, the test portal for Web 2.0 services, the Deutsche Telekom AG (German Telecom Corp.) is engaged in the promotion of new Internet portals and accompanies start-ups until the conclusion of their beta phase. At http://www.betabuzz.de the student portal is presented to a broad, interested target group which tests the new service and gives it personal ratings, thus providing invaluable feedback. âStudymee provides differential criteria that introduce a new level of social networking. We provide students with an original and valuable service. For us, the cooperation with BetaBuzz is a big step forward into the marketâ, says Studymee founder Dennis Hoffmann.
At Studymee, students from around the world are linked together on one unique plaform. Alongside well-known community features such as messaging, group-building or profile images, the portal allows students to exchange scholastic data, for example, homework or exams and to work on projects collectively online. Personal skills and performance can be compared internationally using a global education index and students in other countries or cities can be contacted easily via an interactive world map. Here users can find information about the community or their campus as well as exchange tips about parties, events or their favorite restaurant.
âCreating a space to have fun is important to us. The portal promotes communication between students and broaches all issues â from private conversations to professional exchanges. The users of the community themselves determine what information will be provided to others. We have the utmost respect for the individuality and privacy of each particular memberâ, explains Dennis Hoffmann.
The portal has already been launched internationally in a beta-version. Students can freely communicate, interact and exchange information worldwide. Studymee is free of charge and of commercial advertising.
