Logan, UT (PressExposure) June 25, 2009 -- Bill Knight believes starting a successful new service business during an economic downtown requires three solid ingredients. First, a trusted concept that delivers stellar consumer experiences with high value; second, a small business owner with the drive to succeed; and third, the support of an experienced, professional network to help ensure success.
As the new Vice President of Franchise Sales at Harris Research, Inc. (HRI), Knight is a man with a comprehensive knowledge of what it takes to succeed as a franchisee. Having recently joined the world-class franchisor, he has learned the tricks of the trade from over 11 years of hard work in the franchising industry.
Knightâs stops on the franchising circuit include Dominoâs Pizza, Ruby Tuesday, Inc., Lennyâs Sub Shop and, most recently, Mrs. Fields Famous Brands. While at Lennyâs Sub Shop, he was a franchise development manager and a franchisee.
âWe are very excited to have Billâs rich experience and enthusiasm added to our team of professionals,â said HRI President Craig Donaldson. âNew franchisees will be better able to succeed because of Billâs ability to help them jump-start their business.â
Knight said Harris Research was natural fit for him, especially considering the established success of the company with a low-cost, high-customer satisfaction model.
âChem Dry is the number one brand in its category and has been for years,â Bill said. âNot only is Chem-Dry the worldâs largest carpet cleaner, it is also a household name that offers a recession-resistant business model. The newer N-Hance wood renewal brand has achieved phenomenal growth and continues to climb. And it helps that the franchiseesâ marketing partner is the second-best retailer in the world in The Home Depot. Now is a great time to take control of your future with such a successful business platform.â
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Knight completed his undergraduate studies at Maryville College in east Tennessee and received his MBA from Kennesaw State University. He and his wife Alyson have two sons â Jack, 5, and Sam, 3. Franchise territories are available throughout the United States.
Chem-Dry features more than 2,500 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States. Chem-Dry operates in 43 countries around the globe. Chem-Dry is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Home Depot.
