Pune, India (PressExposure) August 22, 2012 -- BookChums interviewed author of four bestsellers Ravi Subramanian who has penned,If God was a Banker (novel), Devil in Pinstripes (novel), The Incredible Banker (novel) and I bought the Monk's Ferrari (non-fiction). We talked to Subramanian about how despite writing books in the field of global banking, he has still managed to make each book a different reading experience. Interestingly in the interview Ravi Subramanian writes about his aim "to be known as the Grisham of Banking."
In the interview, Subramanian speaks about how he began writing. "I had always wanted to write. It's a bit strange, but my need to write was inspired by a very strong feeling on my part to leave behind a legacy. I wanted to be remembered long after I am gone from this planet. And writing was the best means to do so.... Long after one is gone from this planet, a book in some library in some corner of the country will remind people that someone called Ravi Subramanian once wrote a book. (a few books)," explains Subramanian.
In the interview, Subramanian talks about how real his fiction is. "Almost all authors are inspired by what they see and experience around themselves. I am no different. While the characters in my book are fictitious, a number of incidents are inspired by real life occurrences," says this seasoned author.
During this interaction Subramanian also shares why he stepped into the unknown turf of non-fiction with I Bought The Monk's Ferrari. "Every author wants to experiment and try out newer subjects and themes. I experimented with non-fiction, which was inspired by real life instances. The book was extremely successful and has sold over 50,000 copies till date," concludes Subramnian.
