One Million Words Donates to Help Children in Tibet at Senjimeiduo School

One Million Words Organization, an international non-profit organization setup to help children with literacy, has donated textbooks to orphaned children in Tibet so that they have the chance to get a solid education after a fire ravaged their classrooms and library in 2014. Dr. Lockyer and Ms. Zhang observed classes and performed the official donation of handing over a total of over 900 curriculum books - worth over $7,000USD - that were desperately needed by the school so they could return to having regular classes and provide the children with a competitive education.

The Sundari Foundation's Lotus House, a Miami shelter and life skills resource center for homeless and abused women and children, recently hosted a brigade of furniture movers and volunteers as truck loads of new furniture were delivered from Roche Bobois. The Paris-based company, the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of luxury furniture with over 250 showrooms worldwide, donated home furnishings for all the buildings consisting of nearly 35 resident apartments, dining facilities, common areas and offices.

The Pennsylvania Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) Specialty License Plate is now available with a portion of the proceeds dedicated to help manage and protect the Appalachian Trail (A.T.). As a revenue sharing plate, $21 of the $50 fee is transferred to Appalachian Trail Conservancy to help support the conservation efforts of the A.T. in the state of Pennsylvania.

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy Launches Community Pathway Project In Damascus, Virginia To Engage Trail Enthusiasts

Community™ of Damascus, VA, has launched the Community Pathway Project, enabling individuals to purchase engraved bricks that will repave the sidewalk from S. Smith Street to Trestle Street in downtown Damascus.
