Chinese Law Firm Supports Cancer Awareness Event

Beijing, China (PressExposure) December 07, 2009 -- The networking event held in Beijing on November 25, 2009, was in support of the PINK campaign launched by the United Family Hospitals. The event made up of many guest was also composed of six AmCham-China forums including the Women's Professional Committee, Media and Entertainment, Healthcare, Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations Forum, Chinese Government Affairs Committee and the Young Professionals Committee.

The proceeds raised from yesterday's event will be split between China's Breast Cancer Foundation's "Prevention Through Education" campaign, and the "Support Underprivileged Women" program.

Breast cancer can occur in both females and males, although the cancer in the latter category is rare. The US's National Cancer Institute estimated for 2009 there were 192,370 new cases in females, and 1,910 new cases in males. If treated at an early stage, breast cancer is often curable
