Climb For A Cause Announces Next Year's Event & Details

Chicago, IL (PressExposure) October 19, 2009 -- Climb for a CauseSM Dental Charity Plans 13th Annual Expedition to Fund Donated Dental Services, Dental Missions, & Nepal and Guatemala Dental Clinics

Non-Profit Organization Seeks Dental Industry Climbers, Hikers, Mountain Bikers, Kayakers, Corporate Sponsors, and Community Support

Climb for a Cause (CFAC), a non-profit dental charity dedicated to providing donated dental services, volunteer dentistry, oral health education, and supporting dental missions for economically disadvantaged citizens worldwide, recently announced that its 13th Annual Fundraising Event will take place over Labor Day weekend in the spectacular Three Sisters Region near Bend, Oregon.

Dental professionals including clinicians, office staff, dental manufacturers and consultants, and media from across the nation will assemble to pledge their support for volunteer dentistry by participating in one or more Events comprising the Climb For A Cause Event weekend. Planned Events include: a day of rock climbing at Smith Rock, whitewater rafting/kayaking, mountain biking, and a summit attempt, possibly of Mt. Jefferson.

Charitable dental programs such as Climb for a Cause are needed now more than ever. Funds raised from this year’s fundraising hike will support the CFAC Dental Education and Treatment Projects in Guatemala and Nepal, as well as other domestic oral health causes. Part of CFAC’s proceeds may also be allocated to oral cancer research.

“Our goal is to adequately enlist and equip local and visiting dental professionals and volunteers to provide preventive and restorative dental care and education to the underserved citizens of Guatemala, Nepal and, of course, the United States,” says Daniel A. ‘Danny’ Bobrow, CFAC’s executive director. “To meet this challenge, our goal is to raise in excess of $100,000 and attract fifty Participants.”

“No prior experience or skill level is required, just a desire to give back, so we’re encouraging all people, regardless of age or experience, to participate in this rewarding experience, which is philanthropic dentistry at its most exciting” concludes Bobrow.

CFAC is currently seeking participation and sponsorship from dental practices, consultants, manufacturers, and other members of the profession.

Participants in this year’s CFAC event will receive:

• A customized training schedule and ‘one-on-one’ coaching • Cause-related event marketing support, compliments of American Dental Marketing • Special gifts • A sense of gratification that only comes from selflessly supporting a higher purpose • A guaranteed once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

This is a singular opportunity to get (back) into the best shape of your life while delivering critically needed care and education to underserved citizens of Nepal and Guatemala, and just as importantly, support domestic oral health initiatives.
