Waterbury, CT (PressExposure) August 21, 2014 -- Los Angeles based actress Sarah Nicklin, who is originally from Ridgefield CT, is returning to her home state to appear at the first CT HorrorFest on August 23, 2014 at the Courtyard Marriott in Waterbury CT.
The festival is presented by the Connecticut-based horror website: Horror News Network and is one of the first horror conventions to take place in Connecticut. In addition to the actors, actresses, special FX artists and other accomplished horror guests who will be making appearances, there will be a number of vendors with horror-themed merchandise available.
Sarah Nicklin graduated from Ridgefield High School in where she had spent a lot of time in theater class and begin her career as an actress. She then went to Emerson College and got two BAs- in acting and marketing while also starting to work in the local independent film scene in the Boston and the New England area. Having worked on dozens of independent films, some of which can be found on Netflix and Hulu, she then made the jump to Los Angeles in 2011. In Los Angeles she has continued to work on many independent films and also recently appeared on the TLC reenactment comedy "Sex Sent Me to the ER". She is most known for her work in several independent horror films such as Nun of That and Exhumed, and she has been dubbed with the title of the "darling of indie horror" based on her sweet and mild-mannered disposition, which often clashes with the stereotypical perception of horror actresses. She is now returning to Connecticut to appear as a guest the CT horror festival.
Nicklin will be appearing at CT HorrorFest along with many other horror guests such as: Linda Blair (The Exorcist), IronE Singleton (The Walking Dead), Tony Moran (Halloween), Micah Sloat (Paranormal Activity), and Naomi Grossman (American Horror Story).
