Demand for ITIL Goes Through the Roof

London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) August 17, 2009 -- Demand for ITIL goes through the roof fastest qualification time in UK attracts hundreds of ambitious Service Management applicants to Firebrand Training

With demand for qualified professionals doubling in the last year, ITIL’s service V3 management qualification is rapidly establishing itself as the yardstick for IT personnel. The country’s first accelerated learning IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 course, offered by Firebrand Training Camp, has added an extra five sessions to its 2009 schedule to cope with growing demand.

Firebrand Training offers Accelerated Programmes for both ITIL Foundation and both Lifecycle and Capability streams with exams included, and mean up to one third less time out of the office compared to competitors’ courses.

The courses, which are approved by the ISEB, have attracted candidates looking to further their careers in service management, prompted by the prospect of greater responsibility and higher wages. Qualified service managers can expect to earn at least £33 an hour.

ITIL is intended to assist organisations in developing a framework for IT service management. Worldwide, ITIL is the most widely recognised qualification in IT service management and has just become the UK's benchmark certification of choice.

Once qualified, ITIL certification will enable students to apply a systematic and professional approach to the management of IT service provision. In order to ensure that its delegates profit from the intensive learning process, Firebrand Training employ a range of techniques designed to accelerate a students learning. These techniques involve visual lessons in the morning with white boards and slides, when the brain is most receptive. Tactile “lab-based” lessons in the afternoon, when people need more stimulation and in the evening delegates are engaged in relaxed group discussions to reinforce what they’ve learnt throughout the day.

Under the training schedule, learners have 24-hour access to quality personal workstations, audiovisual equipment, supplies and lab equipment as well as on-site Certification Testing.

“Although we were expecting our ITIL courses to be popular, having to put on an extra five sessions is certainly a first for us,” said Robert Chapman, co-founder, Firebrand Training. “In today’s business climate, just having a strong IT background is not sufficient. ITIL V3 provides people with additional skills such as systems analysis and security management as well as an understanding of overall business perspectives.”

NOTES TO EDITORS About Firebrand Training, ITIL provider

Firebrand Training is challenging the way in which professional training is delivered.

Firebrand Training, formally known as The Training Camp, has pioneered Accelerated Learning courses for busy IT professionals. The organisation’s innovative approach to course delivery has led to its status as the Institute of IT Training’s “IT Training Company of the Year” for the past two years.

Students are totally immersed in the subject matter, receiving an average of 12 hours intense tuition per day at a residential training site. Subject experts implement a range of teaching methodologies designed to fit with how we best understand and retain information during different periods in the day. Accelerated Learning is an attractive proposition for contractors, whose time commands very high premiums, and employers who need to minimise staff absence. Firebrand Training has an above average pass rate of 85% - confounding critics’ claims that Accelerated Learning fails to produce results.

Firebrand Training was founded by Robert Chapman and Stefano Capaldo in Summer 2001 as The Training Camp. Stefano was a former student in the US and rated the company’s approach so highly that he decided to launch a programme of courses in the UK. The organisation has since been recognised by Microsoft as a Gold Partner for Learning Solutions (MCPLS) and over 17,000 students have been trained in the UK to date. The success of the company enabled the management team to relaunch as Firebrand Training, which is focused on delivering training courses specifically designed for a European market.

Firebrand Training offers a range of courses covering all major vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Sun, and Novell, as well as specialist certifications in the areas of security, business intelligence, project and business process management.
