Ann Arbor, MI (PressExposure) September 24, 2009 -- Ambassadors for Dogs features dog training and dog care advice that allow dogs and humans to live a better life. Rather than just training your dog to do tricks, Ambassadors for Dogs want to foster ideas and training that builds a stronger connection between owner and dog.
Ambassadors for Dogs was founded by Lana Hawkins of Ann Arbor, MI in 2009. "I was having so much trouble with my dog pulling on the leash" she said. "My neighbors kept giving me all kinds of devices to use on my dog and nothing worked." She said she just wanted to walk in peace with her dog and enjoy the surroundings and the walk without getting dragged down the street.
Totally frustrated, her next door neighbor stepped in and recommended to her, dog trainer John Spieser of Dogheart Dog Training in Ann Arbor, MI. "John has a special ability with dogs. He teaches you how to connect with your dog using a simple aid which is made from a long line you can get from the hardware store and a snap." After working with John, her dog walks strikingly improved. Lana discovered that any training aid you use should have planned obsolescence. "Use it to lose it." John Spieser says. "Otherwise it becomes a crutch."
So impressed by John's teachings she decided to build a business around the dog training ideas of John Spieser. "I realized that John's teachings could help so many people if there were a way to get it out there to people searching for more compassionate dog training information." Ambassadors for Dogs has the ability, using social media and the internet, to reach thousands of people.
