Evesham, United Kingdom (PressExposure) February 10, 2012 -- Toolbox sells a variety of tools ranging from automotive tools to garden tools to power tools, as well as accessories, parts and work and safety wear. An expert in online retail, Toolbox has a fine tradition of pioneering online and it sees this new blog as an extension to their current e-commerce site.
Scott Morris, Marketing Manager at Toolbox, said: "We thought creating a blog was an important move for a number of reasons. Firstly, it adds a new dimension to our website and allows us to go further in the service we provide. There aren't many other online retailers which will give you expert opinion and insight into the products they sell. We're also using it as a place to post the latest deals and savings so we're hoping customers will find it really attractive."
The blog is powered by Wordpress and therefore presents a clean and easy to use layout, allowing users to browse through archives, search for something specific they're looking for, comment on posts and even tweet them to their Twitter followers.
Tim Hodge, Web Administrator, picked up on this point: "The blog is really easy for us to use. It's simple to post text and images, making keeping an up to date flow of content effortless. With the option to tweet posts, we're expanding our horizons and integrating the blog with our existing web presence. If a user likes what they read, they can tweet it to their followers on Twitter and then that may be picked up by someone else who in turn may share it if they too find it interesting."
Toolbox are taking advantage of the years of experience and expert knowledge in their team and will be using the new blog to write inspirational ideas and hot hints and tips on a range of tools and working methods. It will also feature bestselling products as well as seasonal ideas and how-to guides.
Scott Morris added: "We really want to ensure we're posting great content and that won't be hard with the experts we have at Toolbox. We're hoping we can inspire people with some great ideas and share some knowledge on what tools to use and how to use them for different jobs. If we do inspire customers we can provide them with high quality and affordable tools. The success of this blog should improve business naturally."
Toolbox is the sister site of Plumbworld, an early pioneer of online trading, started by James and Anita Hickman in 1999.
Plumbworld was then sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006. Plumbworld now employs more than 50 people in its purpose built warehouse and offices and boasts an astonishing 50 websites selling everything from bathroom vanity units and draper tools to barbecues and electric showers. The business has a turnover in excess of £18 million and is growing at more than 20% year on year.
