Astoria, New York (PressExposure) May 23, 2011 -- Sonic Masterworks just announced the availability of THE UNKNOWN on Beatport, a three-track release produced by Sonic Masterworks' artist Funkefeller. The release comes merely two weeks after Funkefeller's debut EP entitled SUPER TOXIC, and features vocals by Steph (Stephanie Raquel Renteria), a vocalist out of Southern California that has recently taken her musical talents to the electronic music realm with this release, as well as another killer remix by veteran composer and producer Jason Camiolo.
In addition to the original mix of "The Unknown", the release features a "dirty version", which was made just one day after the production of the original mix. Funkefeller explains that "I wanted to have more fun with this track by making it more grimey and filthy. Most importantly, I wanted something that I knew would blow up a party, whereas the original mix has more of a melodic dubstep vibe that's good for chilling out to."
The well-known veteran composer and producer Jason Camiolo makes his second appearance for Funkefeller, with a banging remix of "The Unknown" that is truly of epic proportion and promises to fill dance floors everywhere. Camiolo is the music supervisor and composer for audioEngine, where he has scored several Addy, Telly, and Emmy Award winning commercial spots, films and documentaries for the last seven years. Originally a drummer by trade, he is also a member of the Platinum Award winning power-pop band Fuzzbubble, (formerly on Bad Boy/Arista Records). Camiolo's techno remix of the electro dubstep track is described as "absolutely mindblowing".
The impressive vocals of Steph, combined with the deep impact grimey dub sounds of Funkefeller and the cinematic composition skill of Jason Camiolo make this release a real winner and a big one for the young Sonic Masterworks record label. The release is available at Beatport.com starting today and can be found at: https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/371040/The%20Unkown%20Feat%20Steph.
