Palo Alto, CA (PressExposure) September 09, 2009 -- New research indicates not only that marketing budgets have been increasing, but also that the number one area of spending has been email marketing. Email marketing expert David Kearney, CEO of email marketing firm Boomerang.com, believes this is so because email marketing not only delivers an excellent return on investment, but also works intuitively with emerging digital marketing tools such as microblogging and other social media.
"Several studies have shown email marketing to deliver a healthy return on investment," said Kearney, whose company's email hosting tool, BlastWizard, was voted in 2008 as "Best Mass Email Tool" by users of salesforce.com. "What's more, it's a tool that works very well in concert with other digital marketing tactics, especially emerging ones in social media."
A veteran of MIPS Computer Systems and now CEO of Boomerang, Kearney has filled many roles in marketing and engineering for the high-tech industry. Before co-founding the award-winning email marketing firm Boomerang in 1991, he earned an MBA from Cornell University's S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management. Kearney's articles on email marketing have appeared in business periodicals such as DM News, and publications such as AllBusiness have quoted him on his email marketing expertise.
More than half (53 percent) of the marketing budgets at U.S. companies have grown this year, revealed research jointly produced by Econsultancy and Clash-Media. Their study also found that three-quarters of organizations are using email marketing and that social media enjoys a higher rate of use in the United States than in the United Kingdom or the rest of Europe.
"It's not surprising that three out of every four companies are turning to email marketing," said Kearney. "And it's encouraging that marketing budgets have been rising, generally. With a concentration of the investment in email marketing, the likelihood of new marketing initiatives bearing fruit is high. Marketers tempted to try the newer tactics out there, such as social media, should look into ways of integrating email into those efforts; the combination is intuitive, and results can be that much better if they do so."
A free email marketing trial of BlastWizard is available. In 2008, users of salesforce.com gave BlastWizard the most four-star and five-star ratings of any email hosting tool, qualifying Boomerang's product to receive that CRM provider's award of "Best Mass Email Tool." Boomerang's consultants are able to draw on a legacy of experience that the company has with enterprise clients, whose needs for email marketing campaigns have imbued Boomerang with the kind of institutional knowledge that yields best practices.
Boomerang's email marketing videos are available for free to anyone at any time, and BlastWizard itself is available for a free email marketing trial. Several companies offer small business email campaign tools; among them, however, Boomerang is alone in approaching email marketing for small business in a customized, tailored way to create individualized email campaigns for clients.
