Los Angeles, CA (PressExposure) June 23, 2011 -- "As much as I encourage you to be consistent and follow my guidelines I don't want you to be rigid, I stress that each child has their own individual needs and you need to listen to your child's cues... Not only does it encourage healthy sleep patterns for your child, therefore enabling more sleep for you, it helps your child feel safe and secure."
Jenner's love for children is obvious, and her respect for the parenting role is clear as she gives her best parenting advice. Once again, TLC's Take Home Nanny is giving tips to parents to offer support, education and encouragement in the hardest job ever. Here are the basics from Emma to help you promote healthy sleep habits for your child.
*Establish a routine
*Stop any vice your child has to get to sleep
*Don't over stimulate
*Create a cozy sleeping environment
*Learn the cry
*Talk to your child
Jenner is very clear that there are details involved with each of these tips, and that while these are great tips overall, a parent should understand that "every child is unique", and adaptations may have to take place. There are also genuine exceptions according to Jenner.
When are there exceptions to these guidelines? If your child has been diagnosed with severe colic, acid reflux, your child is sick or otherwise under the physicians care and guidance.
Emma Jenner's parenting advice and coaching tips have been so successful that she's already connecting with parents and families globally through Emma's Children and the TLC show, Take Home Nanny, which is now in syndication. Emma's Children will soon be expanding the horizons to include more on-line resources for those with membership. This new venture will provide podcasts, iTunes Audiobook Workshops, and chat forums.
