Dallas, Texas (PressExposure) August 01, 2013 -- The Dallas Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) will host a special event on Monday, August 5, 2013, 6-9:30 PM, featuring the George W. Bush Institute's Women's Initiative and the economic impact of empowering women in emerging countries.
A private reception will be held in the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum for FEI members, invited guests and event sponsors, followed by the program and dinner at the George W. Bush Institute. One CPE credit is available for attending the program.
Charity Wallace will give a presentation on "A Bush Legacy Initiative: Women as Catalysts for Global Economic Opportunity," focusing on the George W. Bush Institute's Women's Initiative and the economic impact of empowering women in emerging countries. Ms. Wallace is Director of the Women's Initiative and Senior Advisor to Mrs. Laura Bush. During the White House years, she served as Mrs. Bush's Chief of Staff.
Wallace's presentation will highlight the "African First Ladies Summit, 'Investing in Women: Strengthening Africa,'" which took place July 2-3, 2013, in Tanzania, and featured keynote addresses by President and Mrs. Bush and a historic discussion between First Lady Michelle Obama and Mrs. Bush moderated by ABC News commentator Cokie Roberts.
Following Ms. Wallace's comments, she and Sharon Ellis, FEI Dallas Chapter President, and Noa Gimelli, Director of the Women's Economic Opportunity Initiative at ExxonMobil, will participate in an armchair conversation moderated by Devesh Sharma, FEI Dallas Chapter Diversity & Inclusion Leader.
