Brierley Hill, West Midlands United Kingdom (PressExposure) August 19, 2011 -- This weekend, famous music stars often seen wearing the latest watch fashions will entertain crowds at the annual UK V Festival.
On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August, pop royalty will descend on the twin festival sites in Staffs and Chelmsford to play their hits - and may even be seen wearing top watch brands available at the Watch Hut, the UK's largest watch website.
Included among the iconic stars performing is Rihanna, one of the world's biggest pop stars. The singer will deliver chart-topping hits from her back catalogue, as well as cuts from most recent album 'Loud'. Although she's best known for her sexy stage presence and pop classics such as 'Umbrella', Rihanna also became a poster girl for Casio when she wore multiple models from the G-Shock range in her 'Rude Boy' video in 2010.
Rihanna will co-headline the Saturday (Weston Park) and Sunday (Hylands Park) with 'Love the Way You Lie' collaborator Eminem. The singer has also recently been announced as the new face of Emporio Armani's underwear and jeans campaign, so one of the many stylish Emporio Armani watches available may also make an appearance on her wrist.
Also appearing at the festival are Jessie J and The Saturdays, two other female acts that have dented the pop charts at the same time as accessorising with some of the coolest watches around. Jessie J wears a selection of Swatch watches in the video to new single 'Who's Laughing Now', while Frankie, Mollie and the girls wore Ice Watches in the promo to last summer's smash 'Missing You'.
It's not just the ladies at V who are leading the way in terms of watch style and pop hits, though; leading UK rap artist Dizzee Rascal will headline the 4Music stage on both legs of the festival. Dizzee is 'Bonkers' for Raymond Weil watches, after wearing one in the video to most recent single 'Dirtee Disco', and has been spotted wearing colourful LTD watches too.
With summer festivals now as much about the fashion as they are the music, it's the perfect time to accessorise at the Watch Hut. With over 8000 watches from more than 80 leading watch brands, there's a choice for every festival-goer, whether they're performing on stage or sleeping in a tent.
