San Diego, California (PressExposure) February 01, 2012 -- With the looming 2012 presidential election and in the warm twilight of the 2011, the year of the protester, politics is definitely in the air. Fashion generally sets trends but in this case, it seems fitting that fashion follows the way the wind is currently blowing.
With that in mind, PlainJaneMakeover.com has released an online article and slideshow, "Learn how to be chic while remaining politically correct." The article outlines six ways on how to be chic and show off your political dissent. It includes a 6-part slideshow to showcase how to pull together each of the 6 styles.
The genesis for the idea was the common assumption that as a woman you fall into one of two camps. You are either a fashionista or a feminist. You are either superficial or serious. You are narcissistic with no knowledge of the world or so serious that you have no time to worry about what you are wearing. The founders of PlainJaneMakeover.com believe this article and slideshow is an attempt to say, "Can't we all just get along!"
"The goal was to take how to be chic information in a new direction and also make it timely to what we were seeing in the news everyday. I think we have achieved that," says Chief Creative Officer, Aisha Jones. "I also wanted funny, so whether you are a fashionista or feminist, you would find it amusing and informative. We had to stay true to our brand."
The newly published article and slideshow are currently available online for all Plain Jane's who want to be politically chic in 2012.
