Fearless Female Naval Officer Honored In 2008 American Business Awards

Wayne, Pennsylvannia (PressExposure) September 12, 2008 -- Pennsylvania resident Meg Ferguson is no stranger to achievement – she’s won several accolades in her now 2.5 year career as a Public Affairs Officer for the United States Navy Reserves including the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Navy Pistol Marksmanship Medal. Ferguson is now focusing her strong leadership and exceptional relationship skills learned in the Navy on her business, Vision House Marketing….and the industry is taking notice.

Ferguson was honored in the Best Marketer category out of more than 2,600 entries for the 6th Annual American Business Awards – dubbed ‘The Stevies.’ With the astounding growth of the number of entries in the 2008 competition, The Stevies bring new meaning to the phrase – ‘It was an honor just to be nominated.’

"ABA entries grew more than 30% this year, so being named a Finalist is more of an accomplishment than ever before," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. “It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition. We congratulate all of the finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition."

Ferguson and her Vision House staff were recognized for their work with a local surgical supply company. The team embraced the challenge of taking a local company to a national automated platform (online) and achieved a return on investment of 150% in the second month of project launch through a strategic Google AdWords campaign. The company continues to receive outstanding ROI resulting from the work.

"I'm so honored to be nominated a finalist," said Ferguson. "I stood beside some of the best in the industry, and am honored to be recognized among them."
