Nashville, TN (PressExposure) September 15, 2008 -- Four years in the writing, an expansive new work combines knowledge from the physical sciences and the intuitive arts to present a visionary perspective that harmonizes diverse disciplines into one body of knowledge. Destined to be a major work in its field, Publishers Weekly has recognized visionary thinker and new author MaAnna Stephenson and her book.
Targeted at publishers, librarians, booksellers, and literary agents, the weekly trade news magazine, Publishers Weekly, serves as a collective catalog that allows booksellers to learn about new titles through book reviews submitted by publishers. Nightengale Press submitted The Sage AgeâBlending Science with Intuitive Wisdom (ISBN 13: 978-1-933449-63-0) on behalf of their author. The book will be featured in an article on the genre of New Thought in the September 22 issue of Publishers Weekly.
Living up to its mantra of ânew models for new thought,â The Sage Age is written for more than the casual seeker. As it demystifies complex ideas with intelligent analogies and examples, the book is designed to appeal to both the scientist and the natural intuitive.
Nashville author MaAnna Stephenson is a true Renaissance woman. From an early age she was exposed to a myriad of influences including her father's engineering and artistic endeavors, her maternal line of intuitives, and an intrinsic fascination with sound and music. By the time she was a teenager, she was already a multi-instrumentalist and composer, exploring sounds and techniques with special interest in how they affected listeners spiritually and emotionally. She later became a published composer with airplay in eleven countries.
Her advanced education includes attending Jackson State Community College and Lambuth University concurrently, double majoring in music and acoustics with a special apprenticeship at a local recording studio as a sound engineer. MaAnna transferred to Jackson Area Vocational and Technical School, acquiring a degree in Electronics.
