First Hosted Buyers Confirmed For Aircraft Interiors Middle East Show

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (PressExposure) August 13, 2009 -- The first hosted buyers have been confirmed for the next Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) show, which promises cutting-edge design, innovative cabin fittings and technological advancements for the region’s burgeoning commercial and business aviation market.

Held from 28 February to 1 March 2010 at the Airport Expo, Dubai, UAE, AIME will also host workshops and a conference, delivered by top industry professionals.

Aircraft manufacturer Embraer and Kuwait-based Wataniya Airways have already confirmed their participation in the Hosted Buyer Programme, where decision-makers in cabin interior procurement have pre-scheduled meetings with selected exhibitors on both days of the show. Emirates Airline has also expressed its support for the programme.

Alison Weller, Director of show organiser F&E Aerospace, said: “The Hosted Buyer Programme proved hugely significant to exhibitors in the inaugural AIME show and we welcome Embraer and Wataniya as the first of many participants in this year’s initiative.

“In these challenging economic times, the Middle East region continues to remain optimistic and planning for the eventual upturn in business, as we clearly saw at the recent Paris Air Show where a number of top Middle East carriers generously filled up their order books.

“This bodes well for the aviation industry in the Middle East and I am confident this second running of AIME, which will showcase comfort, capability and connectivity, will be worthwhile for both our exhibitors and our visitors who are preparing for the return to a healthy business environment.”

AIME has already attracted top names in the aircraft interiors industry, including CEBE Network, Sabeti, Gerflor and Eastern Aero Marine.

AIME is co-located with MRO Middle East 2010, F&E Aerospace’s highly successful maintenance, repair and overhaul event, in conjunction with Aviation Week.

The inaugural MRO Middle East show earlier this year exceeded initial projections, with more than 1,200 registered visitors from nearly 50 countries.

The accompanying conference saw industry leaders discuss the sustainability of MRO facilities in the Middle East region, where air transport is seen as an essential catalyst for growth.
