Foundation Fundraiser for Kids Health - The Sanger Foundation Old Hollywood Auction, Dinner & Dance

Denver, CO (PressExposure) March 16, 2011 -- With the help of A Memory Lane Event we will be hosting our First dinner dance fundraiser with the theme of Old Hollywood. Dressing for the theme is encouraged. May 14, 2011 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, dwtn Denver.

We are in need of donations to help the adults and kids currently being helped by the foundation. We need attendance at the event and are always looking for additional beneficiaries to assist.

A word from some beneficiaries:
Hi, I’m D.J. I just celebrated my 5th birthday on July 19th. On August 30th, 2010 I was diagnosed with Rasmussen's Syndrome. It is a rare autoimmune disorder affecting the left side of my brain. I am starting the preparation process for surgery. The only cure is a hemisphererectomy (the removal of the left side of my brain). I have a long road ahead of me and invite you to follow me on my journey to recovery. The Sanger Care Foundation is helping with my medical bills so my parents can focus on me.

I’m Carson and was born on February 3rd 2000 with each passing year my diagnosis of cerebral palsy defined my abilities. I could not roll over, talk clearly, swallow or feed myself, and I couldn’t walk. I received my first wheel chair at three and learned how to talk through a computerized device. I’ve recently been presented with an opportunity to have a stem cell transplant. This amazing surgery takes the my own stem cells from my hip and places them in my spine. Without the help of Sanger Care Foundation I wouldn’t have been able to have surgery. I can't thank you enough for the opportunity that you have given me & my family.

I’m Ben and four years old. I was diagnosed with autism at two years old. My parents found exceptional help for me at a local center for autism but the expense was overwhelming for my family. Because of the expense my parents had to take me out of the program and I regressed quickly. The Sanger Foundation has been able to help me & my family by donating the funds so I could re-enroll in the center where I continue to improve constantly.

With your help, The Sanger Foundation will be able to ensure ours and others in similar circumstances to get the medical help they need. All of us are eternally grateful for your generosity.
